Funny thing is according to Nintendo themselves, while it does get the dust off, and get them to work temporarily, the problem is the moisture in your breath can potentially damage the connectors of the cartridge if you do it to much.
I think they might have been right, 'cause some of my NES games don't work as well as my SNES ones. It's better to use a cleaning cartridge wand to clean them.
